Fiber Optic
CITI and it's partner Expert Services International, LLC (ESI, LLC) are trained in the application and installation of fiber optic cable networks. This hardware backbone provides the infrastructure that our programmers, and engineers can use to design, and implement a complete integration solution for our customers. ESI LLC's trained engineers and technicians also provides the initial installation and startup of the custom panels and other hardware that CITI, LLC designs and manufactures.
Benefits of Fiber Optic Cable Fiber Optic Cable is a thin, flexible, transparent fiber that acts as a waveguide, or "light pipe", to transmit light between the two ends of the fiber. The field of applied science and engineering concerned with the design and application of optical fibers is known as fiber optics. Optical fibers are widely used in fiber-optic communications, which permits transmission over longer distances and at higher bandwidths (data rates) than other forms of communication. Fibers are used instead of metal wires because signals travel along them with less loss and are also immune to electromagnetic interference. Fibers are also used for illumination, and are wrapped in bundles so they can be used to carry images, thus allowing viewing in tight spaces. Specially designed fibers are used for a variety of other applications, including sensors and fiber lasers. |

Fiber Optic Cable Terminations One of the benefits of Fiber Optic Cable is the large amount of data throughput that can be accomplished with such a small conduit. These small fibers however make it very difficult to terminate properly. CITI and it's partner ESI have years of experience terminating fiber optic cable. By having CITI design and implement your fiber optic network you know it will be stable and reliable for years to come. |
